I absolutely love it when an author takes a chance by stepping outside the box and writes something different. If you’ve read Claudia Burgoa’s books before, you know she doesn’t usually write romantic comedies and I am beyond thrilled that she wrote Maybe Later. Ms. Burgoa truly shows off her comedic writing skills with this cheeky romance. I’m still in a romantic comedy cloud after reading this book.The writing in Maybe Later is perfection with a page turning, uniquely crafted storyline that is funny, hopeful and had me giddy the entire time I was reading it. Although the hero was rude and a bit difficult at times, once there was a breakthrough, his swoon worthy charm was enough to woo me and reel me in immediately. And the heroine is written with such relatable qualities with her no nonsense, clever and I’m not putting up with your bs behavior had me fist pumping in the air. The hero and heroine’s witty banter (especially in their email and text exchange) is hilarious!! Both were so easy to fall in love with as their story is heartwarming, passionate and sexy.Maybe Later is the breath of fresh air that I crave in a romantic comedy. I am so in love with this book, the plot flows effortlessly, the ending was so sweet and perfect. It’s definitely a five plus star read that you just can’t help but love.

Maybe Later brilliantly blends multiple tropes to deliver a delicious slow burn romance that flowed well. The main characters are complex, well developed, and flawed just enough to have me wanting to toss my device out the window a few times… which is the fun part of reading romance. Snarky humor reeled me in and the chemistry, mystery, and slight angst kept me glued to my device. The side characters were developed enough to leave me wondering about their own stories and hoping that we haven’t heard the last of Jackson’s family. Who knows? A reader can hope and ask, Maybe Later?

Maybe Later is a beautiful story about two closed off hearts that open up and find love with each other. They meet through work but are communicating virtually. The story is primarily told through the emails/messages they exchange. Neither really likes the other and the conversations exchanged are witty, sarcastic and eventually revealing. The relationship gradually changes as they get to know each other. Through a plot twist, they each discover something that makes them do some soul searching and open up to their own love story.

If you’re getting a little bored with the typical tropy romance, this is the book for you. With a fresh premise, a unique format and a fascinating twist, Maybe Later deserves a category of its own. Start with a cranky CEO forced to avail himself of a virtual assistant. Add in said assistant with her snappy, snarky, brilliant emails and messages, then a side potential romance for both characters, and let the fun begin.Burgoa did a beautiful job with both character development and developing the virtual relationship between Amy and Jackson, making it impossible not to love both of these characters. Amy is both the bold, intelligent, uninhibited heroine we all love and the uncertain, timid, cautious person many of us strive to overcome. Jackson seems like the complete opposite of Amy, but as interactions with Amy reveal more of Jackson's character, the similarities become more apparent. Through both of these characters, Burgoa shows the ease of courageous keyboarding while highlighting the importance of bravery and taking chances in real the real world. This is my first time reading this author and I was thrilled I took the chance to do so. I loved this book. Amy is an exceptional virtual assistant and Jackson is a new and a bit difficult client. A lot of the book consists of emails between the two of them. They had a definite connection and there was so much banter and humor going on that you will end up smiling. There was one part of the book that I thought slowed down a bit but I was glad I hung in there a little longer as the book morphed into something else. As you get to know the characters, you will fall in love with them. There is loss, sadness, heartache and love in this book along with a small bit of steam. It was so much more than I was expecting.

OMG this book is so much fun. I don't want to spoil anything for you so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.The two main characters start out in a business relationship that slowly turns into something a bit more... all through texts/emails. They do not seen each other in person as their arrangement does not require it.Each has their own reasons to not trust anyone and they have built their life around that reason..but slowly they begin to build a relationship that neither expected....and trust me, one word - actually one name will tip you off to what is actually going on and I DID NOT SEE IT...The synopsis sucked me in and well... yeah, that one name happened! lol You'll totally understand my gibberish when you read the book!Its such a beautiful story!! You will love the characters and you will fall in love so hard... !!! Bravo Claudia, bravo!!!
