Good quality overall map printed on durable stock. The only better and more detailed maps are produced by the USGS (United States Department of the Interior, Geological Survey) but at a much higher price. These are topographical maps while the National Geographic map is not - it allows you to orientate yourself.

I visited Alaska in 2010 and spent two weeks going from Seward to Prudhoe Bay (1,043 miles) This map helps me to relive the experience. I wished I had it with me then.

Quality of map is excellent. Nice reference. Lacked names of peaks and valleys but that could because they are not named.

There are no trails on this map, and the geographic scale is pretty small.

There are no trails on this map because there are no maintained trails in GOTA.
